Fairview is a not for profit (NFP) community organisation founded fifty years ago to provide needed accommodation options for older members of the community. With strong community support the organisation has continued to grow and diversify over the years. It now provides a continuum of services including retirement living (village), home based care/support and residential aged care for the very frail.

The organisation is governed by a voluntary Board made up of committed and skilled community members. Fairview employs a professional staff team across a broad range of occupations in managing the day to day life of the organisation and the Fairview community.

Fairview provides the following services:

Retirement Living
Through our retirement village we provide access to modern architect designed purpose built units which provide comfort and all the benefits of living in a retirement village, where most of the mundane and time consuming chores are done for you! Importantly Fairview is commencing a new extension to the village offering both units and apartments. The village’s community life will allow residents as much social and recreational activity as suits their preferences. more information

Community (Home Based) Care
Fairview has recently been allocated 15 Community Aged Care Packages (CACPs) which have eligibility criteria assessed by the local Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). The  packages are designed to allow case managed care and support to be delivered to the frail aged in their home, and indeed to people living in the retirement village. more information

Residential Aged Care
For the frail aged Fairview offers an excellent residential aged care program addressing both low care (hostel) and high care (nursing home) places. Importantly we provide for ageing in place assuring that residents need not move despite their needs changing. Admission requires prospective residents to have had an ACAS assessment. more information

Community Education & Advocacy Functions.
These are designed to promote the needs and interests of the ageing in the Baw Baw Community. This involves facilitating forums, participating in professional networks and the preparation of educational materials. Our work in these areas in recent years has culminated in the development of the Baw Baw Aged Services Strategy and the Tackling Dementia Together Program

Fairview is located a couple of minutes from the Warragul CBD and enjoys rural views. It is located at 30 Sargeant Street. (see map below)
